Helping Hand is a Non-Profit Public Charity, 501(c)(3), that has been established to help current and past CDOT workers and their families when in need of a helping hand. Helping Hand was developed in 2007 and began by providing $550 grants to those in need. Due to the program’s success, in 2017 the grant amount was raised to $600. Currently Helping Hand has been able to provide over $131,000 in grants AND $31,000 in Scholarships.
Helping hand provides support for all regions within CDOT and is supported by current and past employees who volunteer their time to host fundraisers such as chili cook offs and golf tournaments.
